About This Opportunity

SSMF (Svenska Sällskapet för Medicinsk Forskning) has allocated 10 million Swedish kronor to support Ukrainian citizens working in medical research who have come to Sweden after the outbreak of war in 2022. The grant provides financial support for Ukrainian students, doctoral candidates, and postdocs to conduct research at Swedish universities or research institutes. The funding can be applied for by doctoral researchers who have ongoing research grants from SSMF with project disposition rights. Support can be granted for a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 12 months with the possibility of extension. The grant recipient must be provided with a research position at a Swedish university or research institute during the project period. The program enables SSMF researchers to host a guest researcher from war-torn Ukraine.
