Stora läspriset

Stora läspriset is a grant for teachers who work to create reading engagement among children and young people. A total of 600,000 SEK can be awarded, distributed among four different teacher groups in four different age categories: for teachers working with reading promotion initiatives for children ages 0–5, 6–11, 12–15, and for work with young people and adults ages 16–25. Each group receives 150,000 SEK each. The group must consist of at least two people, of which at least one must be a licensed teacher. The grant is awarded for ongoing projects, not for projects that have already been completed. The work should contribute to developing children's and young people's reading in preschool, school, or society generally. The prize money must be used to further develop and disseminate the project. It should be about developing work methods that in one way or another benefit reading and reading comprehension. The grant also includes documentation by a researcher who will follow the grant recipients' work for one year.
