About this opportunity
This grant program aims to give the most promising junior researchers the opportunity to develop their independence and build scientific and pedagogical merit for appointment as senior lecturer (lektor). The funding provides 3,000,000 SEK per year for five years, with the possibility of continued funding at senior lecturer level for up to an additional five years after review. The grant also rewards mobility and recruitments of strategic relevance to the higher education institution. Applications require nomination by a Swedish university or higher education institution. The program is based on a government assignment and supports strategic recruitment to strengthen research capacity and quality at Swedish universities.

Applications are reviewed by international peer review panels organized into three review groups. At least three panel members individually review each application. The full panel meets to discuss and prioritize applications before submitting recommendations to the Director General.
