Strathclyde Access Bursary

The Strathclyde Access Bursary is a financial support program designed to attract the best students regardless of background. The bursary provides between £1,000 and £3,000 per year of study to eligible undergraduate students. It is awarded to new undergraduate students from England, Northern Ireland, and Wales who pay a tuition fee of £9,535 per year. The bursary amount is determined based on household income levels as assessed by Student Finance England, Wales, or Northern Ireland. Students from households with income up to £25,000 receive £3,000, those with income between £25,001 and £35,000 receive £2,000, and those with income between £35,001 and £42,641 receive £1,000. Eligible students are identified automatically through their application to Student Finance and receive payment directly into their student loan bank account. The bursary helps cover equipment and study costs, living costs, and travel costs throughout each year of study.
