Strathclyde Excellence Scholarship

The Strathclyde Excellence Scholarship is offered by the University of Strathclyde to recognise academic excellence among undergraduate students. The scholarship provides £1,000 per year to students who are paying a tuition fee of £9,535 per year and achieve AAB or above at A Level (or equivalent). The award is automatically granted to all eligible students who meet these criteria, with no separate application required. The scholarship is paid in three termly instalments throughout each year of study and helps cover equipment and study costs, living costs, and travel costs. Eligible students are identified automatically through their University application and receive notification by email to their University of Strathclyde email address before the end of September. For students without A-Level qualifications, such as those with Irish Leaving Certificates, the A-level equivalence is calculated using UCAS Tariff Points (136 tariff points) based on qualifications held at the equivalent level to A-Level.
