About This Opportunity

The Stratherrick & Foyers Community Trust Student Grant assists residents of Stratherrick and Foyers with the costs of study at Further or Higher Education levels. Student grants are also available to assist with lifelong learning and employability. Students can apply for a maximum of £500.00 per year of study at colleges and universities. For those accepted for multi-year courses, applications can be made each year with a fresh application and completion report required annually. Grants can also be paid for shorter courses at training establishments based on duration, ranging from £100 for courses up to 1 month or 20 hours, up to £500 for courses 6 months to 1 year or up to 100 hours. The grant scheme is supported by community benefit funds received from renewable energy companies including SSE and Greencoat UK wind farms and hydroelectric schemes.
