About this opportunity
The Strengthening Worcestershire Fund is a match funded programme offered in partnership with Worcestershire County Council (WCC) to support disadvantaged local communities continuing to experience the ongoing effects of cost-of-living. The fund delivers help for a wide range of projects via charities, community groups and social enterprises across Worcestershire. Round 2 of the Fund opens on Tuesday 15th July 2025 with a maximum of £110,000 to distribute across the county.
The fund supports projects that contribute to one or more of six key priorities: cost of living/food and fuel poverty, ageing well, reducing social isolation and loneliness, supporting people to stay safe and well in their community, information/advice and guidance, and supporting unpaid carers. Applications are welcomed from throughout Worcestershire, with particular encouragement for projects delivered where deprivation is greatest.
The funding period runs from 1st December 2025 to 30th November 2026. Applicants can apply for grants from £2,000 to £5,000, with larger organizations able to apply for up to £7,500 for particularly strong or innovative projects with wider impacts. Organizations that received funding in the previous round in 2024 are not eligible to apply.
This programme supports organizations and groups based in Worcestershire including charities, CICs, community groups and social enterprises working for the benefit of any age group. Successful applicants will be required to provide 6-monthly monitoring and evaluation reports and an end of grant report.
