Stuart Hall Foundation – CHASE AHRC studentships for BAME researchers in the Arts and Humanities

The Stuart Hall Foundation Scholarships are awarded through the CHASE (Consortium for the Humanities and the Arts South-East England) AHRC Doctoral Training Partnership. These studentships are specifically available to Home candidates from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds, with a particular focus on encouraging applicants interested in the work and legacy of Stuart Hall. The scholarships support doctoral research that resonates with Professor Stuart Hall's work and the Foundation's mission of working towards a racially just and more equal future. Projects must fit with the aims of the Foundation, which works collaboratively to forge creative partnerships in the spirit of Stuart Hall. The University of Kent is one of eight partners in CHASE, alongside institutions including Goldsmiths, The Courtauld Institute of Art, SOAS, Birkbeck, and the Universities of East Anglia, Essex, and Sussex. These partnerships provide students with exceptional opportunities to gain professional experience, work across institutions and disciplines, and acquire advanced research skills through training and collaborative placements.
