About this opportunity
The Student Loan Relief Grant is designed to address the financial burden faced by architecture graduates who accumulate substantial student debt during their education. Becoming a licensed architect is increasingly costly, with architecture students graduating with significantly more debt than the average student, creating concerns for graduates entering the job market and putting them at risk of early career changes.
This scholarship is awarded annually to support recent architecture graduates in their student loan repayment. Recipients receive a one-time grant of $5,000 to aid in their student loan repayment, with payment made directly to the lender.
Applicants must have graduated from a NAAB-accredited architecture program and be Associate AIA or AIA members in good standing. The selection criteria emphasize demonstrated intent on pursuing a career in architecture and demonstrated involvement in community and/or professional organizations, particularly those related to the architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) community.
