About this opportunity
The NZIF Foundation offers prizes for the best student posters submitted to the New Zealand Institute of Forestry annual conference. This competition was first offered at the NZIF Conference in Wellington in 2015 and continues annually. Students enrolled at New Zealand tertiary institutes can submit posters on themes associated with forestry in New Zealand, broadly interpreted to cover all forests from native to plantation, all aspects of forests including recreation, biodiversity, intensive production, and related aspects such as processing, marketing, and use of forest products. The prizes are funded from the Foundation's general funding and winners are determined by votes cast by conference attendees, with announcements made before the end of the conference. While conference attendance is desirable for discussing posters with attendees, it is not mandatory and students may have someone else represent them.
