Students' Association - Kings Cross Country Award

The Students' Association - Kings Cross Country Award is a nominated scholarship provided to a member of the Red Deer Polytechnic Kings Cross-Country Team. This award recognizes student-athletes who demonstrate exceptional value to the team as determined by the coach. The scholarship is specifically designed for athletes who meet the ACAC (Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference) and CCAA (Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association) eligibility requirements. Recipients are nominated by the Red Deer Polytechnic Athletics Department rather than applying directly. The award provides $750 to support a student-athlete's educational expenses. This scholarship is funded by the Students' Association of Red Deer Polytechnic to support athletic excellence and academic achievement among cross-country team members. The award emphasizes both athletic contribution and eligibility standards, ensuring that recipients are in good standing with collegiate athletic governing bodies. Recipients will be notified directly by the Athletics Department throughout the year, and students are automatically considered based on their completed General Application to Red Deer Polytechnic's scholarship system.
