Students' Association - Roy North Scholarship for Outstanding Contribution and Leadership

The Roy North Scholarship for Outstanding Contribution and Leadership is awarded annually by the Students' Association of Red Deer Polytechnic to recognize exceptional student leadership in political affairs. This scholarship honors full-time students who have demonstrated outstanding contribution and leadership in the field of student political affairs during the academic year. The award provides $750 to one recipient who is enrolled in a credit program during both Fall and Winter terms. Students are automatically considered based on their completed General Application, though nominations are also accepted through the MyRDP platform. The scholarship recognizes students who have made significant contributions to student governance and political engagement on campus. Members of the Students' Association Executive Council for the current academic year are not eligible to apply. The scholarship is part of the Students' Association Leadership Awards program, with applications opening in December each year. This award celebrates the legacy of Roy North and his commitment to student leadership and political engagement at Red Deer Polytechnic.
