About This Opportunity

The Study Life Award aims to help students from lower income households who live in areas that have low participation rates for higher education by giving them financial assistance for day-to-day university costs. These may include accommodation, course materials, food, printing and travel. The award is worth up to £950 per year and is distributed as a mixture of print credits, lunch vouchers, and discounted travel opportunities. Eligible students are automatically assessed if they meet specific criteria including being a home student, attending Cardiff Metropolitan University as a new full-time undergraduate student at Year 1 or Foundation level, having a household income below £30,000, and residing in a low participation area for higher education. The award is renewable each year subject to successful progression and continued eligibility. Students on Care Leavers or Estranged Students Bursary automatically receive the Study Life Award as well.
