Study Scholarships - Postgraduate Studies in the Fields of Fine Art, Design, Visual Communication and Film

This DAAD scholarship programme offers international students the opportunity to continue their education in Germany with a postgraduate or complementary course of study in the fields of Fine Art, Design, Visual Communication and Film. The programme supports both Master's degree courses/postgraduate degree courses leading to a final qualification at state or state-recognised German universities, as well as complementary courses without degree such as a study year in Germany as part of a home university programme or an independent project with a professor in Germany. The scholarships also promote the exchange of experience and networking amongst colleagues. Scholarship holders receive monthly payments, travel allowances, study allowances, insurance coverage, and access to German language courses. The programme is designed for artists who have completed a first university degree in the field of arts and wish to advance their artistic qualification and maturity through study in Germany. Selection is based on artistic qualification, work samples, project quality, study plan, and letter of motivation, evaluated by a special DAAD committee of professors from German art, design and film schools.
