About This Opportunity

The Summer Vacation Scholarship in Computational Materials is awarded to outstanding undergraduate students who have completed their third or honours year in physics, chemistry, or a related field. Recipients carry out a research project in the area of computational condensed matter and materials during the summer vacation period. The scholarship provides financial support for eight weeks of full-time research work from December to February. Preference is given to applicants who have applied for admission to a higher degree by research (MPhil or PhD) or are undertaking their Honours Project in the Condensed Matter Theory group in the School of Physics at the University of Sydney.
