About This Opportunity

Supporting Grassroots Music (SGM) is a funding programme jointly funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and Arts Council England, designed to help secure the sustainability of the grassroots music sector in England. This investment programme supports venues, festivals and promoters, recording studios and rehearsal spaces as well as sector bodies operating in grassroots music. The programme supports the transition of artists, bands and industry professionals to sustainable careers in music, as well as the development of new audiences and the grassroots music sector as a whole. The programme operates with monthly application deadlines on a rolling basis, with applications submitted via email following a specific application process. Supporting Grassroots Music is no longer part of the National Lottery Project Grants programme and now uses dedicated application forms and guidance documents.
