About this opportunity
The Surex Scholarship is an annual $1,000 award designed to help ease the financial burden of higher education for students and their families. The scholarship acknowledges that the costs of tuition fees, housing, books, and school supplies can accumulate to tens of thousands of dollars. To be eligible, applicants must be U.S. or Canadian citizens (excluding Quebec residents), permanent residents, or have other legal standing that allows them to work and study in Canada or the U.S. Students must be accepted into and enrolled in a U.S. or Canadian college or university in an undergraduate or graduate program. A key requirement is the submission of a 500-2000 word essay on one of four topics: Entrepreneurship (business idea and plan), E-commerce (improving customer experience), Cybersecurity (how businesses can improve security and services), or Voice search (how companies must adapt their strategy). The scholarship is open to any student type, from any faculty, and at any year level.
