The Susan Aglukark Award is awarded to a student who is a First Nation, Inuit, or Métis person of Canada in accordance with the Constitution Act, 1982, Part 2, Section 35(2) entering the University of Alberta from high school with satisfactory academic standing. Selection is based on demonstrated interest in the preservation of traditional Indigenous culture and/or demonstrated leadership within an Indigenous community. Preference is given to an Inuit student with demonstrated interest in environmental issues. This scholarship supports Indigenous students transitioning to university education and recognizes their cultural contributions and leadership.
