About this opportunity
This scholarship was established in 2016 to encourage and support students from rural or regional Australia to undertake postgraduate nursing education at The University of Sydney Susan Wakil School of Nursing and Midwifery. The scholarship is donated by the Susan and Isaac Wakil Foundation and provides financial support for tuition fees and living expenses. Recipients must be from areas outside Greater Sydney and be commencing their first year in either a Master of Nursing (graduate entry) or Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) program. The scholarship aims to increase access to advanced nursing education for students from rural and regional communities, supporting workforce development in these underserved areas. Scholars are expected to actively participate in the Susan Wakil Scholars Academy and engage with the Foundation throughout their studies.
