Susan Yaw Memorial Scholarship

The Susan Yaw Memorial Scholarship was established by North Central Washington UniServ Council in memory of Susan Yaw, who served as President from 2013 to 2016 and was a strong advocate for continuing education. Susan established programs to assist educators in acquiring their NBCT or ProTeach certificates and brought classes to North Central Washington focusing on evaluation and special education. This scholarship assists education professionals who want to pursue NBCT, ProTeach, Master's degrees, or other professional development, or paraprofessionals getting a teaching degree. The scholarship supports continuing education for educators working in Chelan, Douglas, Grant, or Okanogan Counties in Washington State. Recipients may apply for renewal after three years and must compete with new applicants.
