About This Opportunity
The Sussex Bursary is available to Home undergraduate students whose family household income is less than £35,000, as determined by Student Finance. Eligible students will automatically receive the award directly from Student Finance, with £1,000 provided in the first year of study (either Year 1 or Foundation Year) and £500 in subsequent years of study. This bursary award is non-repayable and has been awarded to help with living costs whilst studying. The bursary will be paid automatically to eligible students who meet all criteria including being a new starter or returning to their undergraduate course on or after September 2026, funded as a Home student, having an assessed family household income of less than £35,000, not in receipt of a non-means-tested grant element to their funding, registered as a full-time student, and studying at Sussex (not on a placement year or Year Abroad).
