Sustainable Coastal Development Scholarship of Xiamen University

The Sustainable Coastal Development Scholarship (SCD Scholarship) initiated by Xiamen University (XMU) awards full-ride scholarship to applicants from ASEAN countries to pursue a master's or doctoral degree in ocean-related programs at XMU. The scholarship is sponsored by the Capacity Building Program for Sustainable Coastal Development and intends to remove financial barriers for those who are interested in devoting to the research and practice on sustainable ocean and coastal development or enhancing their capacity in marine governance. The scholarship covers tuition fees, on-campus accommodation fees, monthly living allowances, and comprehensive medical insurance for the duration of study. Recipients can pursue marine-related postgraduate degree programs in either Chinese-medium or English-medium instruction, spanning fields such as marine biology, oceanography, environmental science, marine affairs, and law of the sea.
