About this opportunity
Svenska Akademiens bibliotekariepris (Swedish Academy Librarian Prize) has been awarded annually since 2005. Since 2023, two prizes are awarded: one for public librarians and one for school librarians. The prize should be awarded to librarians at Swedish public and school libraries who have made valuable contributions to promoting interest in classic and contemporary fiction. The prize amount is 70,000 SEK to the librarian and 30,000 SEK to their workplace. The award ceremony takes place at the Gothenburg Book Fair.

Review process
Nominations are reviewed by a working group consisting of a member of the Swedish Academy, two experts, and one of the Nobel Library librarians. The Academy makes the final decision on prize recipients.
