Svenska Akademiens svensklärarpris

The Swedish Academy's Teacher Prize for Swedish is awarded annually since 1987 to teachers who have stimulated interest in the Swedish language and literature through their work. The prize is specifically designed for active teachers who teach Swedish in schools throughout Sweden, excluding university and higher education instruction. Four prizes are awarded each year, with one specifically designated for teachers of Swedish as a second language or Swedish for immigrants. The prize recognizes excellence in teaching Swedish across all grade levels. Nominations are accepted from colleagues, principals, or others familiar with the candidate's work, and the prize is evaluated by a working group consisting of an Academy member and three field experts.
