SWAAC Student Leadership Award

The SWAAC Student Leadership Award provides financial recognition to outstanding women students who have demonstrated exceptional leadership in their college or general community while maintaining exemplary academic records. At least two awards, each in the amount of $4,000 CAD, are awarded annually to women students registered at Member Institutions of CIC (Colleges and Institutes Canada) within designated regions. The award recognizes academic excellence alongside demonstrated leadership through executive positions in student organizations, committee participation, organization of special events, involvement in advocacy and volunteer organizations, and innovative problem-solving. Eligibility rotates among four Canadian regions: Western Provinces, Quebec, Atlantic Provinces, and Ontario. Each eligible college may nominate one person through their Vice-President Academic or delegate. The award is administered by Senior Women Academic Administrators of Canada (SWAAC), an organization dedicated to supporting women in academic leadership.
