Swinburne University Postgraduate Research Award

The Swinburne University Postgraduate Research Award (SUPRA) is awarded to students of exceptional research potential undertaking doctoral studies. The awards are provided to assist with general living costs, with tuition fees also covered by the award. SUPRA scholarships are available to both future and current students enrolled in or applying for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Professional Doctorate course at Swinburne University of Technology. The scholarship provides an annual stipend of $35,500 (indexed for 2026) for three years with a possible 6 month extension, along with a tuition fee scholarship for up to four years. Additional benefits include paid leave of absence, thesis allowance, and relocation allowance. The program supports doctoral research across all disciplines at Swinburne University.
