About This Opportunity

The Swinburne Welcome Scholarships provide opportunities for holders of specific visa categories to access a variety of courses at Swinburne University. These scholarships are designed to support asylum seekers and refugees, including holders of Bridging Visa E, Temporary Protection Visas, Safe Haven Enterprise Visas, Temporary Humanitarian Concern Visas, and Bridging Visa A (who have applied for permanent protection). The scholarships comprise a full fee waiver for eligible undergraduate and UniLink Diploma programs, and some Vocational Education Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas. Scholarship holders may also be eligible for a payment of up to $7,500 per annum if their course is longer than 12 months. Applicants must demonstrate community involvement, leadership potential, and financial hardship. Selection is based on a personal statement detailing community contributions and future intentions, evidence of financial hardship, and a supporting reference. The scholarship aims to provide educational access to vulnerable populations and support their integration into Australian society through higher education.
