About This Opportunity

The Sydney Campbell Foundation Postgraduate Scholarship is provided under the will of Mr Sydney Campbell, who owned the Wairarapa sheep and beef farm Riverside Farm. This scholarship supports students from the Wairarapa district who are passionate about the region and want to take their knowledge of agriculture and horticulture back to the area. The scholarship is valued at $5,000 and is awarded annually to one student undertaking full-time postgraduate study at Massey University. Recipients must be studying a master's degree or PhD in agriculture and food, veterinary science, animal science and welfare, or environmental science as it relates to biodiversity of farming. Preference is given to applicants who show an inclination to return and live in Wairarapa upon completing their course. Selection is based on academic achievements, other scholarships held, and the applicant's intention to return to the Wairarapa region.
