About this opportunity
The Sydney Scholars India Equity Scholarship is awarded to one exceptional Indian student from a low socio-economic background commencing a postgraduate coursework degree at the University of Sydney. This scholarship is valued at up to $100,000 and covers the full cost of tuition fees, living expenses, flights, textbooks and health cover. The scholarship is specifically designed for Indian citizens who are current residents of slum communities in Delhi, India where ASHA Society works. Nominations will be made by the Asha Community Health and Development Society (ASHA), and no direct application is required from students. The scholarship will be awarded based on academic merit, financial need and personal statement assessed from a student's application for admission to a postgraduate coursework degree. Recipients must maintain a minimum semester average mark of 65 and agree to return to India post-graduation as part of their agreement with ASHA.
