About this opportunity

This scholarship aims to provide financial support to students entering the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Sydney. Established in 2022 through generous donations to the Sydney School of Veterinary Sciences, the scholarship provides financial assistance to eligible domestic students who demonstrate academic merit and meet specific equity criteria. The scholarship supports students who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, have carer responsibilities, or come from rural or remote areas. Recipients are expected to demonstrate interest in rural veterinary practice post-graduation. The scholarship covers academic course fees, books and other relevant course costs. To maintain the scholarship, recipients must maintain full-time enrolment and achieve a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 65 each semester. The scholarship is paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester.
