About this opportunity

This scholarship aims to support low socio-economic students commencing a Bachelor of Veterinary Biology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Sydney. Established in 2021 through the generous donation of the William Charles Watling Bequest, the scholarship provides financial support to help with academic course fees, books, and other relevant course costs. The scholarship is valued at $15,000 per annum for the first 3 years of the degree program. Preference is given to students who demonstrate low socio-economic status via the Educational Access Scheme (EAS), have a primary residential address in a rural, regional, or remote area of Australia, or identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Recipients must maintain full-time enrolment and a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 65 each semester to continue receiving the scholarship.
