Sydney Speaks Master's Thesis Award

The Sydney Speaks Master's Thesis Award is offered by the School of Literature, Languages and Linguistics in the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences to support students while they undertake a Master's (Advanced) thesis in Linguistics at the University. The objective of the award is to offer a stipend to a Masters student who is writing a thesis on variation and change in Australian English that will contribute to the Sydney Speaks project. The scholarship provides a one-off payment to support the recipient during their thesis research. The award is available to both domestic and international students enrolled or enrolling in the Masters of General and Applied Linguistics (Advanced) program who are interested in researching variation and change in Australian English. Recipients must be enrolled or approved to enrol in the relevant Linguistics thesis course (THES8102) in the School of Literature, Languages and Linguistics.
