About This Opportunity
The Department of Music at University College Cork is pleased to offer three Sydney V. Regan Scholarships for students commencing Taught Masters programmes in the Music Department. The scholarships are available for the MA in Irish Traditional Music, MA in Music and Cultural History, MA in Experimental Sound Practice, and the MA in Ethnomusicology. Each scholarship is worth €3,000 and is awarded to students who demonstrate excellence in research and/or creative practice, have clear ambitions for undertaking the selected taught MA programme, and demonstrate financial need. As required by the terms of the Sydney V. Regan Bequest, eligible applicants must have been born in Ireland, be of a parent who was born in Ireland, or have been ordinarily resident in Ireland for at least ten years. Successful candidates will be responsible for the remaining tuition balance beyond the scholarship award.
