About this opportunity
The Syncrude Award in Environmental & Conservation Sciences is awarded to students with satisfactory academic standing entering the first year of the Environmental & Conservation Sciences program in the Faculty of Agricultural, Life, and Environmental Sciences at the University of Alberta. Selection is based on Grade 11 and/or Grade 12 final marks. This award is provided through endowed funds by Syncrude and is designed to support incoming students pursuing studies in environmental and conservation sciences. Preference is given to students who are First Nation, Inuit, or Metis people of Canada in accordance with the Constitution Act, 1982, Part 2, Section 35(2), demonstrating a commitment to supporting Indigenous students in environmental education.
