About this opportunity
The Tennessee Association of Chiefs of Police (TACP) College Scholarship provides a $2,500 award to support students pursuing education in community or criminal justice related fields. This scholarship is available to dependents of TACP members who are either high school seniors planning to attend an accredited college or university, or current college students already enrolled in a related degree program. Applicants must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA and demonstrate commitment to the field through academic achievement and community involvement. The scholarship requires submission of a comprehensive application package including transcripts, letters of recommendation, approval from a local Chief of Police, and a 500-word essay addressing how the scholarship will benefit the applicant and how their education will benefit society. The selection process is managed by the TACP Scholarship Committee, with funds awarded directly to the recipient's institution's financial aid department.
