About this opportunity
The Tertiary Achievement in Pacific Ako Awards recognizes well rounded Pacific student leaders who actively contribute to the Pacific community, University of Waikato community and set an example for other students in academics and other areas of excellence. This award is designed to support and celebrate Pacific Island students who demonstrate leadership, academic achievement, and community engagement. The scholarship is available to students pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate taught, or postgraduate research degrees across a wide range of subject areas including Arts, Business & Management, Computer Science, Mathematics, Education, Health, Engineering, Law, Māori & Indigenous Studies, Science, and Social Sciences. Recipients must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of Pacific Island descent who are enrolled at the University of Waikato for a full academic year. The award recognizes students who exemplify excellence not only in their academic pursuits but also in their contributions to the broader university and Pacific communities.
