Tavender Family Scholarship

The Tavender Family Scholarship is offered to a student entering second or third year in the Faculty of Law, JD program at the University of Calgary. This renewable scholarship recognizes superior academic merit with academic standing on the Dean's List, along with demonstrated initiative and leadership qualities through commitment and contribution to extra-curricular activities within the law school or in the community. The scholarship is renewable in the third year of the JD program, provided the recipient achieves a minimum GPA of 3.20 over a minimum of 24.00 units in the previous fall and winter terms. This award was established by David Tavender, K.C. and the University of Calgary to support outstanding law students who excel both academically and in their contributions to the law school community.
