Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Māori Graduate Award

The Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Māori Graduate Award is designed to encourage Māori postgraduate study in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. The scholarship is awarded to Māori students about to begin their postgraduate studies by coursework, providing financial support toward their education. Awards are based on academic merit and are open to New Zealand Māori students who are enrolling full-time in specific programmes related to artificial intelligence and data science. The scholarship provides $10,000 towards accommodation or tuition fees for one year, with three awards available annually. Recipients must demonstrate strong academic performance with a minimum B+ grade average at 300-level and submit a personal statement outlining how they meet the criteria and the potential impact of the scholarship on their studies.
