About this opportunity
The Te Manawa O Te-Ika-A-Māui Scholarship is designed to support a Ngāti Tūwharetoa undergraduate student at Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington studying Environmental Management or Environmental Science. The scholarship aligns with the Tūwharetoa Māori Trust Board Mahere Rautaki 2021-2026, specifically the Pou Taiao pillar which encourages the active protection of water and natural environment inclusive of mātauranga Tūwharetoa. The scholarship is co-funded with Victoria University of Wellington to support Ngāti Tūwharetoa participation and success at the University and the strategic direction of the Tūwharetoa Māori Trust Board. Recipients must be registered with the Tūwharetoa Māori Trust Board and studying full-time in an undergraduate qualification in Environmental Management or Environmental Science. The scholarship is awarded in two instalments, with the first payment made in Trimester 1 and the second payment in Trimester 2 based on Trimester 1 results. The scholarship can be used for tuition fees and/or accommodation.
