About this opportunity
This scholarship was established to support Māori students who are intending to study IT-related subjects at Victoria University of Wellington. The scholarship provides $24,000 over three years ($8,000 per annum) to support students facing financial hardship. For more than 20 years TEAM IM NZ has been delivering high-value content management and unstructured data solutions for their customers. TEAM IM NZ aspires to support technology careers for Māori students including scholarships and internships. Recipients are eligible for a paid summer internship at TEAM IM NZ in their final year with a possibility of a graduate role. The scholarship is awarded to support Māori school leavers enrolling in IT-related degrees including Software Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Information Systems. Wāhine (women) are especially encouraged to apply. Proficiency in Te Reo Māori or a willingness to learn Te Reo will be beneficial.
