About this opportunity
The Ted and Charlotte Davenport Poetry Prize is awarded to students with superior academic achievement in any year of a Bachelor of Arts in English at the University of Alberta. Selection is based on academic standing and demonstrated excellence in writing original poetry. This award recognizes outstanding student achievement in creative writing within the English program. The prize was established through endowed funds by Dr. P. Davenport in honour of his parents, Ted and Charlotte Davenport. Students are automatically considered for this award based on their completed General Application through the University of Alberta scholarship system.
