Tennessee HOPE Scholarship

The HOPE Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship program for Tennessee residents attending eligible postsecondary institutions. Students must meet academic criteria including a 21 ACT/1060 SAT score or 3.0 unweighted high school GPA, and have been a Tennessee resident for at least one year prior to high school graduation. The scholarship provides financial assistance based on credit hours enrolled, with amounts ranging from $1,125 to $2,850 per semester depending on academic year and enrollment level. The program also offers two supplemental awards: HOPE Aspire for students with household AGI of $36,000 or less (additional $750 per semester), and HOPE Merit for high-achieving students with 29 ACT and 3.75 GPA (additional $500 per semester). Students must maintain continuous enrollment and meet GPA benchmarks at 24, 48, 72, and 96 attempted credit hours to retain eligibility.
