Terry McCullough Memorial Community Press Scholarship

The Terry McCullough Memorial Community Press Scholarship is awarded to journalism students at Eastern Illinois University who demonstrate a commitment to community newspaper journalism. This scholarship is designed for students majoring in Journalism with an emphasis in news-editorials/newspaper. Recipients must show their dedication to community newspaper journalism through work with the Daily Eastern News (DEN) or other public, community newspapers, and must submit a 250-word statement about their career objectives. High academic standing is required, and financial need is considered as a secondary criterion after reducing the candidate pool to three finalists. The award is announced in the Spring semester and awarded in the following Fall semester, providing financial support to students pursuing careers in local community journalism.
