Terry Spencer Leadership Scholarship

The Terry Spencer Leadership Scholarship was established in 2021 by Whiting-Turner Contracting Company in memory of Terry Spencer, Division Vice President and Buffalo native. This scholarship supports undergraduate students in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University at Buffalo. The scholarship is available to undergraduate freshmen, sophomores, or juniors who have been accepted into a major in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Applicants are required to write an essay about what it means to be a good leader, demonstrating their understanding of leadership principles. The award amount of $4,750 is split between the Fall and Spring semesters, providing financial support throughout the academic year for eligible engineering students who can articulate their vision of effective leadership.
