About this opportunity
The Terry Traditional Scholarship, also known as the Freshman Scholarship, is a full ride, last dollar scholarship that covers up to eight semesters of college education. It is awarded to Texas high school seniors who have been accepted for admission to one of the eleven Terry-affiliated public universities in Texas. The scholarship is offered by The Terry Foundation, the largest private scholarship provider in the state of Texas. Applications are available only from the universities affiliated with the Terry Scholarship Program and are not available directly from the Foundation or from high schools. Candidates must meet specific eligibility criteria including strong academic achievement, demonstrated financial need, leadership in school and community, U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, Texas residency requirements, and admission to a Terry-affiliated college or university. All candidates who wish to compete for a Terry Scholarship must meet with a Terry Interview Panel after being nominated by their university.
