About This Opportunity

The Tetiana Lehkun Scholarship in Botany is an annual scholarship established by the Estate of Victor Nicholas Ruryk in the name of Tetiana Lehkun to honour her market garden business. The scholarship supports students studying botany in the Faculty of Science at the University of Calgary. The award is offered to continuing undergraduate students who are majoring in Plant Biology and is based on academic merit. Up to three scholarships are available annually, with each award valued at up to $5,100 CAD. This scholarship recognizes outstanding academic achievement among undergraduate students pursuing studies in plant biology and botany. Students in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of undergraduate studies in the Faculty of Science with a major in BOTA or PLBI are eligible to apply through the My UCalgary Portal for Continuing Undergraduate Awards.
