The Abbotsleigh Teacher Education Scholarship

The Abbotsleigh Teacher Education Scholarship offers students a unique opportunity to work at a leading Independent School within the Greater Sydney area. The scholarship is awarded to a student with an excellent academic record who will contribute to the curricular and co-curricular life of Abbotsleigh School. Recipients must be enrolled in the final year of an eligible education degree at the University of Sydney's School of Education and Social Work, studying in areas such as Early Learning, Primary Education, or Secondary Education in specific subject areas. The scholarship requires recipients to complete practical placements at Abbotsleigh School, including spending one day a week at the school and undertaking an unpaid internship during specified school terms. Recipients receive guidance from a mentor teacher and participate in academic, pastoral, and co-curricular activities throughout their placement.
