About this opportunity
The Aboriginal Medical Student (SoMF) Scholarship provides financial support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program at the University of Notre Dame Australia's School of Medicine, Fremantle Campus. The scholarship is awarded to applicants who best demonstrate personal circumstances warranting special consideration, personal qualities and motivation including determination to train and work as a medical practitioner, and academic merit.
To be eligible, applicants must be Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander persons who identify as such and are recognized by their community, be enrolled as full-time students at the University of Notre Dame Australia in the School of Medicine, Fremantle, and demonstrate satisfactory academic achievement throughout the year in which the scholarship is awarded. The scholarship value may vary and is awarded for one year.
Applications must be submitted on the application form available from the University website and sent to the Office of University Relations, Fremantle. The scholarship is advertised on the University website in the year preceding the award.
