The Accommodation Bursary

The Accommodation Bursary is a financial support program offered by the University of Bath to help undergraduate students with accommodation costs in their first year. Students with household incomes between £30,000.01 and £62,377 are eligible for an accommodation fee reduction of up to £1,300. The bursary is automatically deducted from accommodation fees and does not require a separate application. Students with household incomes up to £30,000 receive £750 off accommodation costs as part of the Bath Bursary or Gold Scholarship packages. To qualify, students must be new first-year Home UK undergraduate students starting full-time degree courses and housed by the University. The award is means-tested based on household income assessments conducted through Student Loans Company. Students in couples accommodation are not eligible. Award amounts for the 2026/27 academic year will be confirmed in Spring 2026.
