About this opportunity
The Adi and Isca Wittenberg Scholarship supports one person annually to study for a first degree or equivalent professional qualification with a focus on mental health related degree courses such as mental health nursing, psychology, or social work. The scholarship pays home tuition fees and associated study costs, with the specific amount dependent on the candidate's individual circumstances and university location. The Trust assists successful candidates in negotiating home fees from their chosen university. This scholarship honors the legacy of Adi and Isca Wittenberg, both of whom became refugees at age 16 when forced to flee Nazi Germany, and who were determined to pursue education and successful careers despite wartime challenges and financial struggles. As part of their legacy, both wanted to help refugees access higher education.
